Janet K. Duncan

Warsaw – Janet K. (Lacy) Duncan passed away at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House on January 22, 2026 at the age of 88.

Janet was born in Trinway on May 20, 1937. She was the daughter of the late Donald and Agnes Rebecca (Runkel) Lacy. After graduating from Conesville High School she married Donald L. Duncan on September 9, 1956. Together they raised three children. She was a librarian for more than 30 years in the River View School District.

Janet loved their family reunions, her flowers, gardening, mowing her lawn, and putting together puzzles. She also was an avid card player, especially “Hausey”. She was a member of the women’s card club for more than 50 years, and also kept track of all of her all time wins against Don.

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Don; son, Scott (Emily) Duncan of Atlanta; her daughter, Jackie (Steve) Martin of Warsaw; grandchildren, Amber (Travis) Connor, Amelia Duncan, Andrew Martin (fiance' Brooke), Duncan (Paige) Martin, Kayana (Michael) Secora, Dawn (Mark) Cutshall, Dan (Mindy) Duncan, and Denise (Justin) Lapp; 10 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; sister, Margo (Don) Thomas; brother, Marc (Belinda) Lacy; sister-in-law, Hilda Lacy; and her nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Keith O. Duncan, and her brother, Donald “Dayle” Lacy.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. Rev. Stewart Royce will officiate. Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. Calling hours will be from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
