Brinkhaven - Jesse James Hammons, 51, died Tuesday August 9, 2011 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born August 24, 1959 in Millersburg to Arden A. and Myrtle R. (Logston) Hammons. He worked for Kokosing Construction and belonged to the local carpenters' union #200. He was also a member of the Tiverton Baptist Church.
He is survived by his children; Jesse Hammons Jr., Sabrina Hammons, Logan Hammons, and Morgan Hammons, his mother; Myrtle Hammons, his wife; Jolene, grandchildren; Caden and Jesse III, and brothers and sisters; Joe, Roland, Steve, Kathy, Erma Jean, and Jeannie.
He was preceded in death by his father; Arden.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday August 13, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor William Russell will be officiating. Burial will be in Tiverton Cemetery on SR 206. Calling hours will be from 6-8 p.m. on Friday.
