Warsaw- Jessie M. McGrady, 99, of 29136 TR 33, died Monday, March 22, 2010 at her residence.
She was born March 27, 1910 in Monroe Twp. to the late Clifford and Sara Margaret (Holt) Robinson. She married Joseph McGrady on Nov. 26, 1927, who preceded her in death on April 8, 1977. With her 100th birthday approaching, Jessie's nephew, Robert Robinson, contacted the White House in Washington D.C. and requested a signed birthday card from President Barak Obama. This card was received one week before her death.
She is survived by three sons; Vaughn (Sandra) McGrady, Richard McGrady, and Timothy (Linda) McGrady, two daughters; JoAnne (William F.) Mellor, and Susan (Jack) Arnold, all of Warsaw, nine grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and three step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at the McGrady Family Cemetery with Chaplain Rick Trumbo officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice, Health Services of Coshocton Co., P.O. Box 1284, Coshocton, OH 43812. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements.
