Mount Vernon – James W. “Jimmy” Hammonds, 67, died Thursday August 21, 2014 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born in Denver, CO on November 25, 1946 to Grover and Evelyn May Hammonds.
He is survived by a daughter, Penny Annett of Danville, a son, Michael Moore of FL, grandchildren; Logan, Trenton, and Gavin Annett, four sisters; Patricia Smith of Mt. Vernon, Judy (Frank) Flood of Bladensburg, Connie (Buster) May of Mt. Vernon, and Beverly Summerfield of Danville, 3 brothers; Raymond (Mindy) Hammonds of Monterey, TN, Albert (Ruth) Hammonds of Mansfield, Billy (Reita) Hammonds of Danville, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Loretta J. Sharp.
