DANVILLE- Jobie Junior Johnson, 60, of W. Washington St., died Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
He was born July 5, 1951 in Prestonsburgh, KY to the late Jobie and Minerva (Stapleton) Johnson. He worked in oilfields all of his life, loved to golf, and he loved his dog, "Sabot".
He is survived by a daughter, Katrina (Scott) Rine of Bladensburg, a son, Jamie Johnson of Danville, four grandchildren; Josie (Brandon) Mizer, and Adam, Lindsey, & Madison Rine, all of Bladensburg, two sisters; Carol (Norman) Reed and Debbie (Mike) Boeshart, both of Mt. Vernon, five brothers; John (Helen) Johnson of Coshocton, Roy (Sheri) Johnson of Texas, Ronnie (Kim) Johnson of Danville, Mike Johnson of Millersburg, and Martin Johnson of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, J. Jason Johnson, and a nephew, Cody Johnson.
A private family service will be held at a later date. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
