Danville - Joe F. Parsons, 73, died Saturday May 22, 2010 at the Knox Community Hospital.
He was born September 10, 1936 in West Virginia to Floyd and Liza Jane Parsons. He was married April 21, 1956 to Ruby L. Carr. Joe was a minister of the gospel for 47 years, and talked often of making heaven his home. He held many tent revivals throughout Ohio and West Virginia trying to bring as many people as he could to God.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years; Ruby, children; Laura of Danville, Lynn (Jack) of Killbuck, Robin of Howard, and Joey of Danville, 5 grandchildren; Jen, Jamie, Rusty, Stephanie, and Joe, and 8 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter; Lena.
A funeral service will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Tuesday May 25, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Visiting will be from 11:00 A.M. until service time Tuesday.A Private burial will be in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
