PLAINFIELD – John Marion Wilson, 87, of Plainfield died Dec. 2, 2016 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 13, 1929 in Westerville to the late Floyd Edword and Flossie Vausie (Henry) Wilson.
He was a tile setter and a farmer. He was U.S. Army veteran. John loved to farm and deer hunt. He was a former member of the Olive Green Church of Christ & Christian Union.
He is survived by his wife, Goldie (Sullivan) Wilson, whom he married Sept. 2, 1955. Also surviving is a daughter, Melinda (James Whetzel) Wilson of Howard. Two sons, Michael A. (Penny A.) Wilson of Coshocton and Timothy J. (Heather A.) Wilson of Plainfield. Three grandchildren, Tyler Michael (Allie Dobson) Wilson of Coshocton, and Samantha Jane & Sadie Ann Wilson of Plainfield. A great granddaughter, Lillian Wilson of Coshocton. Two step grandchildren Bettina Boone of Coshocton and Cassie Boone of Blacklick. Two step great grandchildren, Brooklyn & Avery Rose Boone. A sister, Helen Cavandish of Johnstown and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Ann Whitney & Doris Swickard and three brothers, Loy, Roger, & Richard Wilson.
There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held Monday, Dec. 5, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Tiverton Cemetery with Rev. Larry Sullivan officiating. Graveside military services will be conducted by the Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling the arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
