Joseph E. Arnold

Mount Vernon – Joseph Edward Arnold, 56, passed away at his home on July 19, 2019.

He was born in Mercy Hospital on October 27, 1962 to Marilyn J. (Colopy) and Donald J. Arnold. He lived at the Mt. Vernon Developmental Center and attended New Hope Industries, and his most treasured item was his telephone that rarely saw him without.

He was preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his mother, Marilyn, his sisters, Deb (Criss) Steinmetz, Karen (Dave) Byers, and Linda Oliver, his brother, Daniel (Laurie) Arnold, four nephews, a niece, and his extended family and friends of MVDC. The family would like to thank each and every member of the staff that provided a safe and happy home for Joey over the last 25 years. All your love and care for him was such a blessing to him and our family.

The staff of MVDC and NHI is invited to a private, family service at 11:00 am Tuesday July 23 at the Fischer Funeral Home, 403 High St. Danville. Father Homer Blubaugh will officiate. There will be a half hour of visitation prior, and burial will follow in St. Luke Cemetery.
