Howard - Joseph Lee Henwood, 65, died Thursday April 25, 2013 at The Cleveland Clinic.
He was born October 31, 1947 in Mount Vernon to John and Beulah Mae (Pilkington) Henwood. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served from 1967-1971. He was an avid outdoorsman and athlete. He loved hunting, fishing, and golfing, and was a Cleveland Browns fan. He was also a former member of the Mount Vernon Moose Lodge.
Joe is survived by his wife; Emma G. (Malacad) Henwood of Howard, his children; Michael (Theresa) Henwood of Powell, Tina (Lathen) Cannon of Spring Hill, TN, Todd (Chanda) Henwood of Delaware, Angela Henwood of Columbus, and Chris Henwood of Howard, grandchildren; Skylar, Joey, Mary, Jordan, Jacob, Noah, Landon, Zander, Brianna, and Tylan, great grandchildren; Izek and Ava, and his sister; Pauline McGinnis of Mt. Vernon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Bill and Jack Henwood, and a sister; Margaret Colopy.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday April 30 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville with Rick Lumbatis officiating. Calling hours will be from 6-8 on Monday.
