Brinkhaven- Joseph Raymond Tisler, Jr., 74, of CR 452, died Sunday, June 6, 2010 at his residence.

He was born Oct. 6, 1935 in Lorain to the late Joseph R. and Evelyn M. (Hull) Tisler, Sr. He was a veteran of the US Navy, with 23 years of active service, and 10 years reserve. He was a Fire Technician Control Specialist, as well as a technical specialist working on radar and missile systems, gun mounts, and computers. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, and especially Sudoku. He was a member of the Tiverton Grange #1515. He was a wonderful husband and a loving father.

He is survived by his wife, Teresita R. (Garlejo) Tisler of the home, two daughters; Elizabeth (James) Geary of Stephenson, VA, Teri (Scott Long) Tisler of Dallas, TX, a son, Ray (Amanda Hansen) Tisler of Columbia, MD, two grandchildren; Chloe & Brooke Geary, three sisters; Jean Preston of Round 0, SC, Sharon Deidrick of LaGrange, and Evelyn (Chester) Luman of Lorain, two brothers; Tom (Janice) Tisler of Cantonment, FL, and Gary Jon (Daryl) Tisler of Garland, TX, a half-sister, Ann Csalos of Lorain, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert A. Tisler, and a half-sister, Alma Donathan.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 12, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Joanna Lance and Rev. Carolyn Mann officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Calling hours are two hours prior to service time on Saturday.
