DANVILLE- Joseph Edward Workman, 55, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Jan. 16, 2023 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center in Columbus.

Joseph was born Sept. 13, 1967 in Mount Vernon to the late Walter Irvin Workman, Sr. and Mary Phyllis (Frost) Hubbard.

Joe enjoyed computers, watching old movies, fishing, WWE wrestling, and going for walks. His best friend was Samantha’s dog, “Jasper”. He was very outgoing and friendly with a great sense of humor and he never met a stranger. He truly would give you the shirt of his back.

He is survived by four sisters, Mary (Bill) Burton of Shelby, Sherry (David) Edwards of Fredericktown, Becky Marvin of Mt. Vernon, and Amanda (Greg) Carroll of Shelby; a special cousin who was like a sister to him, Samantha Hess-Strouse of Danville; five brothers, Walter Irvin Workman, Jr of Danville, Christopher (Vickie) Workman of Howard, Harvey Workman of Newark, Donald Marvin of Mt. Vernon, and Clyde (Debbie) Marvin, Jr.; his step-mother, Aletha Workman of Howard; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Marvin; a niece, Jordawni Meyers; a nephew, David Lee Webb; a special aunt, Sharon Denhart; as well as numerous other aunts and uncles.
