DANVILLE- Josephine Ida "Jo" Blue, 81, of E. Ross St., died Wednesday Dec. 18, 2013 at her residence.
She was born Nov. 21, 1932 in Danville to the late Bunyan Eroyal and Ava Mae (Barton) Lybarger. She was a librarian for the Knox Co. and Danville Libraries for 32 years. She was an avid gardener, loving everything from flowers to weeds. She was a charter member of the Seed Sowers Garden Club, past Matron of the Ohio Eastern Star, and a lifetime member of the Danville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Jackson R. Blue of Danville, whom she married Aug. 15, 1952. Also surviving are her two children; Pam Sherman and Jack (Diana) Blue, both of Danville, three grandchildren; Sarah (Joshua) Stein of Massillon, Michelle (Nick) Colopy of Fredericktown, and Garrett (Kate Custer) Blue of Danville, five great-grandchildren; Jack, Joe, & Ava Stein, Lucas Colopy, and Paityn Blue, and three siblings; Robert Lybarger of Butler, Dorothy (Gene) Matheny and Clinton (Yvonne Bareswilt) Lybarger, both of Danville.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday Dec. 20, 2013 at Workman Cemetery with Rev. Mary Murtha officiating. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
