Joyce B. Mosholder

ROGERS- Joyce Baker (Porterfield) Mosholder, 80, died Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Covington Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation in East Palestine.

She was born Sept. 14, 1936 in Bladensburg to the late Dwight and Mary (Baker) Porterfield. After graduating high school, she worked in retail sales for Sears and JC Penny for many years. She married Lawrence Mosholder on Nov . 11, 1955, who preceded her in death on May 13, 1992.

Joyce was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister, as well as a proud great-grandmother. She will be missed dearly by many nieces and nephews. She loved to travel, especially to Myrtle Beach, SC, and also enjoyed gardening and gambling. Joyce always had a special dog or cat around the house.

She is survived by four children, Carla Jo (George) Lavrusky of Gibsonia, PA, Rhonda Sue (Burrell) Reeder of Rogers, Tonda Lu (Richard) Ross of Wellsville, and Thomas Lawrence Mosholder of Rogers; ten grandchildren, Robin (Brian) Schorr, Desa Lavrusky, Nicholas Lavrusky, Jennifer (Nathan) Brown, Erin Gallagher, Kyle Reeder, Vincent (Maxine) Ross, Anthony Ross, Tyler Mosholder, and Matthew Mosholder; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Nancy Johnson; three brothers, George (Kay) Porterfield, Hugh (Connie) Porterfield, and William (Judy) Porterfield; and several nieces & nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Pastor Mark Blakely from the Wellsville First Christian Church officiating. Visitation is from 4:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
