June S. Lauvray

March 25, 1922 — October 15, 2010

Warsaw- June Simmons (Miller) Lauvray, 88, a resident of Lafayette Pointe Care Center in West Lafayette, and formerly of Warsaw, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010 at the care center.

She was born March 25, 1922 in Muskingum Co. to the late Levi S. and Fannie L. (Nabb) Miller. She married Walter F. Lauvray on June 14, 1941, who preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1996. She was an excellent cook and seamstress. She enjoyed crocheting, family get-togethers, and singing Christian hymns.

She is survived by five sons; Levi F. Lauvray of New Rochelle, NY, Leroy R. (Cyndee) Lauvray of Dresden, Lester R. (Mary) Lauvray of Warsaw, Lorain P. (Ellen) Lauvray of Coshocton, and Lawrence L. Lauvray of Harvey, LA, a daughter, Judith A. Franklin of Massillon, two former daughters-in-law; Barbara A. Lauvray of West Virginia, and Julia Lauvray of Louisiana, nine grandsons; Larry (Jill) Lauvray of Fairmont, WV, Loren (Sue) Lauvray of Denver, CO, Lance (Laurel) Lauvray of Coshocton, Logan Lauvray of Portland, OR, Brian (Tracy) Lauvray of Columbus, Tracy (Connie) Lauvray of Powell, Terry (Dana) Lauvray of Magnolia, TX, Brandon Franklin of Massillon, and Landon (fiancAC. Ashley) Franklin of Massillon, five granddaughters; Lesynda (Todd) Thompson of Valrico, FL, Kristie (John Jr.) Miller of Fresno, Bethany (Rob) Parsons of Powell, Angela (John) Zakrajsek of Washington, D.C., and Diane (Russ) Walters of Colorado Springs, CO, twenty-one great-grandchildren; Leeland, Lucas, Laura, and Laikin Lauvray all of Coshocton, Jordan & Kaitlin Thompson of Valrico, FL, Andrew & Brooke Lauvray of Fairmont, WV, Luke & Grace Lauvray of Denver, CO, Oscar & Onslo Parsons of Powell, Analyse & Aria Lauvray of Columbus, Ila Zakrajsek of Washington, D.C., Ethan & Baylor Lauvray of Powell, Jacob Lauvray of Magnolia, TX, Zane Miller of Fresno, and Peyton & Maren Walters of Colorado Springs, CO. Also surviving are one step-grandson, two step great-grandchildren, a nephew, Dennis (Dottie) Kelly, and a sister-in-law, Marie Kelly.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a sister, Josephine Kelly, a brother-in-law, Samuel Kelly, and a niece, Connie Kelly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Dairel Kaiser officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Calling hours are from 6-8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
