WARSAW- Karen Sue Border, 67, of SR 541, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at the Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus.
She was born Feb. 25, 1944 in West Bedford to the late Leo L. and Evelyn F. (Hiltner) Young. She was the owner and operator of Sue's Hallmark and Florist on Main St. in Coshocton for nearly thirty years. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, the Coshocton Rotary Club, the Coshocton Co. Chamber of Commerce, the Coshocton Eagles Aerie #761, and the Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority, which she enjoyed attending their functions. She also enjoyed knitting, scrap-booking for her grandkids, and interacting with all of her customers at the store. She was proud to have been the fifth generation of her family to care for the family farm. She was a truly unique individual who enjoyed life to the fullest.
She is survived by her companion, Donald G. Folmar of Warsaw, three children; Ronda E. Baldwin of Lima, Pamela S. (Kris A.) Zimmer of Wildwood, MO, and Eugene L. (Tina) Border II of Reynoldsburg, nine grandchildren; Anna Olinger, William Baldwin, Kristopher, Amber, Blake, & Benjamin Zimmer, and Nicholas (Kayla), Amanda, & Zachary Border, one great-granddaughter, Aubrey Elizabeth Bowers, one sister, Ann (Phil) Stout of Coshocton, and one brother, Lynn Young of Columbus.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brooke Elizabeth Newman, and a brother, Robert Young.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 23, 2012 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Rev. Craig Redecker officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery.
