GAMBIER- Kathryn Louise (Conkle) Morey, 84, of Killduff Rd., died Monday March 12, 2012 at the Forest Hills Center in Columbus.
She was born March 16, 1927 in Mt. Vernon to the late Edwin Webster and Francis Willard (Fawcett) Conkle. She married Robert Morey on Dec. 7, 1946, who preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2012. She was a 1945 graduate of Amity High School, a life-long member of the Howard United Methodist Church, a member of the Howard Gardening Club, RSVP Quilting Club, and she loved flower gardening.
She is survived by her three children; William L. (Cheryl) Morey, James L. (Judy) Morey, and Janet K. Fisher, nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, a brother-in-law, Richard Hauger, and two sisters-in-law; Isabelle & Mildred.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her step-mother, Daisy (Lifer) Conkle, two brothers; John & Edwin Conkle, and two sisters; Margaret Frank & Evalyn Hauger.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at the Howard United Methodist Church, with Pastor Lee Cubie officiating. Burial will follow in Valley Cemetery near Howard.
