Gambier - Katherine "Kathy" Ann (Beatty) Johnson, 45, passed away Wednesday November 26, 2008 after fighting a hard battle with cancer.
She was born July 19, 1963 in Mt. Vernon to Lewis W. and Sara Mae (Wiley) Beatty. She was a teacher's aid for special needs children in Knox County schools, and thought of all of them as her kids. Kathy was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had an amazing sense of humor, and an infectious laugh. She was sincere and a friend to many, and she kept battling her cancer with such a positive attitude.
She is survived by her son; Joshua of the home, and brothers; Bob (Becki) Beatty of Gambier, and Budd (Joanne) Beatty of Bend, Oregon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Calling hours will be from 5 - 7:00 P.M. on Saturday November 29, 2008 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. A memorial will follow.
