Danville - Kelvin Armstrong, Sr., 54, died Friday May 18, 2012.
He was born February 17, 1958 in Mount Vernon to Robert E. and Margaret (Myers) Armstrong. He was a very passionate hunter, a hard worker, a great grandpa, and a wonderful person.
Surviving are his wife; Sharry (Conn) Armstrong of Danville, sons; Kelvin Armstrong (Valerie) of Howard, Corey Adam Armstrong of Mount Vernon, a step daughter; Tara (Robert) Cottrell of Crestline, grandchildren; Shelby, Colton, and Caleb Armstrong, his mom; "Meg" Garrad, and numerous family members.
He was preceded in death by his father; Robert, and a brother; Rodney.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 23 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Pastor Ron Davis will officiate. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Jelloway. Calling hours will be from 6-8 on Tuesday. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
