Kenneth J. Johnson

Warsaw - Kenneth J. Johnson, 79, of CR 3, died Friday December 4, 2009 at Autumn Health Care of Zanesville.

He was born March 27, 1930 in Marietta to Marie (Harris) and H. Kenneth Johnson. He graduated from Marietta High School in 1947, and from the Ohio State University in 1952. On August 2, 1953, he was married to Wanda F. Lee. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and taught school for 25 years in Coshocton and Muskingum Counties. He was a partner in Johnson Farms for many years.

He was also a former member of the Coshocton County Lamb and Fleece Committee, a member of the Coshocton County Beef Committee, an honorary member of the River View Future Farmers of America, and a member of the Worldwide Church of God. He enjoyed his volunteer teaching at Echoing Hills Village, Coshocton Health and Rehab Center, and Windsorwood in Coshocton.

He is survived by his wife; Wanda Johnson, a son; Michael A. (Connie) Johnson, and a daughter; Debbie L. Stickdorn (fiancAC. Jim Couch) all of Warsaw, sisters; Ava Bradley, and Herma Eddy both of Marietta, and Arlene (frank) Sheppard of Palestine, WV, grandchildren; Kecia (Jim) Buxton of Warsaw, Andrea (Andrew) Prouty of Norwich, Amy Jo Johnson of Warsaw, Ryan (Mandi) Stickdorn of West Lafayette, and Kyle Stickdorn of Frazeysburg, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son; Steven L. Johnson, and a granddaughter; Amber R. Johnson.

A private graveside service will be held in Coshocton County Memory Gardens, with David Fowls officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the River View FFA Scholarship Fund; 26496 SR 60N, Warsaw, 43844.
