WARSAW- Kenneth Norval Smith, 88, of SR 60, died Thursday July 12, 2012 at his residence.
He was born May 1, 1924 in Cleora, OK to the late Hugh and Dolly (Fortner) Smith. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany at the end of WWII, receiving the Army Occupation and Victory Ribbons. He was a master tinsmith, and was affectionately nick-named "Three Day Smitty". He loved people, animals, and life in general. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion. He moved to Warsaw in Sept. 2010 from Cheyenne, WY. He was dearly loved by his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by three children; Glenn (Renee) Smith of Green Valley, AZ, Linda (Tom) Cullison of Warsaw, and Hugh (Glenda Roose) Smith of Warsaw, ten grandchildren; Joe (Gina) Cullison, John (Carla) Cullison, and Glenn (Gloria) Cullison, all of Warsaw, Chris Cullison of Columbus, Julie (Patrick) Sullivan of Pflugerville, TX, Cheryl (Mike) Smith-Jones of Corpus Christie, TX, Amy Smith of Slidell, LA, Hugh (Sheena ) Smith, Jr. of Coshocton, and Ayden & Koda Smith, both of Columbus, fifteen great-grandchildren plus one expected, and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives; Imogene (Honnoll) Hacker, and Billy Smith, and a sister, Maxine Smith.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Valley View Cemetery, with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co. Joint Veterans Council. The FISCHER FUNERAL HOME in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
