Howard – Larry D. Lester, 68, passed away Wednesday April 13, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Grundy, VA on December 24, 1947. He married Susan Brooks on September 16, 1966. He was a big Steelers fan and enjoyed hunting and looking for mushrooms.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Thurman and Ada (Helton) Lester, brothers; Willie and Otis, a sister, Shirley Burgess, a grandson, Cody, and a brother-in-law, Bruce Burgess.
Surviving are his wife, Susan of Howard, sons; Larry Jr. “Dave” (Dawn) of Howard, Ralph (Annika) of Mount Vernon, and Timothy Lester of Sunbury, grandchildren; Lita, Kerry, and Johanna, brother, Robert (Marie) Lester of Killbuck, sister, Linda Allison of Dayton, and sister-in-law, Cora Lester, and his feline friends; Missy and Salvador Dali.
Calling hours will be from 4-7 Saturday evening at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. A private interment will take place.
