WARSAW - Larry Alan Mathias, 67, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 23,2012 at his residence.
He was born August 16, 1944 in Coshocton to the late Jacob and Melanie (Lower) Mathias.
He was a retired employee of the former Smurfit Stone Container in Coshocton. Larry was a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene and the American Motorcycle Assn. He truly loved his family, and enjoyed hunting, guns and reloading, and working on vehicles.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie (Lint) Mathias, who he married April 12, 1975. Also surviving are his children, Ronald (Barb) Mathias, Tina (Scott) Ramsey, Angela (Terry) Taylor, Andrea (Kelly) Sims, Matthew (Amy) Mathias, and Tiffany (Kevin) Kittell all of Coshocton, Melanie (Eugene) Vance of Massillon. His grandchildren, Lindsay, Luke, Haley, Ronnie, Brian, Danny, Spencer, Chase, Dustin, Ciarra, Christian, Brandon, Peyton, Nicholas, Stephanie, Gavin, Leah , Colton, Mariah, Kennedy, & Griffin. His great grandchildren, Elena, Bentley, Rebecca, Katherine, Caleb, Haley, & Ethan. A sister, Marjorie (Elmer) Wright of Coshocton. Two brothers, Vernon (Susie) Mathias of Coshocton and Jon (Dixie) Mathias of West Lafayette.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Underwood and two brothers, Myron & Adrian Mathias.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coshocton Nazarene Church 1058 Orange St. Coshocton, OH with Pastor Steve Ward officiating. Burial will be in the Darling Run Cemetery at Warsaw. Visitation is Friday, May 25, 2012 from 5-8 p.m. at the church.
