MANSFIELD- Lawrence Michael “Larry” Gardner, 77, died Monday, Feb. 9, 2026 at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital.
He was born Oct. 23, 1948 in Mt. Vernon to the late Thomas and Dorothy (Nommay) Gardner. He lived and worked in Murfreesboro, TN for 25 years, and was an employee of Flxible in Loudonville for 28 years. He enjoyed playing card games with friends and other electronic games.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 34 years, Jessi (Butler) Gardner of Mansfield, whom he married April 28, 1992; a sister, Mimi (Bill) Durbin; brother, Joe (Charlotte) Gardner; many nieces and nephews; a sister-in-law, Janet Gardner; and his good friend, Jim See.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Gardner; and two sisters, Judy (Jim) Colopy, and Jean Gardner.
A graveside service will take place 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at St. Luke Cemetery in Danville. Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
Memorial donations may be to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, StJude.org
