Linda W. Moreland

DANVILLE - Linda W. "Lin" Moreland, 74, of Danville passed away at home on Sunday, July 3, 2016 after a short battle with cancer. She went to see her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ while surrounded by her loving family.

She was born April 20, 1942 in Devon Torquay, England to Arthur Bertram and Phyliss Amelia (Holden) Woolacott.

She was a member of the North Bend Church of the Brethren and a past member of the Danville Lions Club. She was serving in the British Royal Air Force when she met and married Gary Moreland (who survives) as he was serving in the U.S. Air Force.

Linda was a loving Christian mother and wife who loved attending family sporting events and band concerts. She loved decorating, working in her flower gardens, and cooking. But most of all she anticipated and loved family gatherings where much love was shared by all. She was never one to miss sending a card to someone in need of comfort or congratulations.

Linda and Gary were married for 53 years and blessed by three sons, Michael (Lisa) Moreland, Shawn (Melissa) Moreland, and Trevor (McKala) Moreland. Granchildren, Robert, Mark, Blake, Brice, Brant, Breanna, Lucy and Trevor Jr. Brother, Michael (Ann) Woolacott. Brother & Sister in laws, Lon (Jan) Moreland and Patty (John) Shellenbarger. Many nieces and nephews living in the United States, England, and Australia.

The family wishes to convey a special thank you to Pastor Patrick Bailey, Hospice of Knox County, and the Doctors & nurses of Knox Community Hospital. Special thanks to church members and friends for their prayers, we felt every one of them. They also want to thank the Fischer Funeral Home for helping the family with arrangements.

The Moreland family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2016 at the North Bend Church of the Brethren 24474 Orange Hill Road Danville, OH 43014. The service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Patrick Bailey officiating with burial to follow in the North Bend Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
