DANVILLE – Lizzie Ann Barkman, 87, of 14380 Tiger Valley Rd., died Friday, March 27, 2015 at her residence.
She was born on May 13, 1927 to the late Mose J. and Sarah (Miller) Mast. On November 29, 1947, she married Sam J. Barkman, who preceded her in death on Oct. 16, 2014. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.
Surviving are five daughters and three sons; Esther (John) Miller of the home, Noah (Mattie) Barkman of Danville, Clara (Roy) Yoder of Fredericksburg, Atlee (Clara) Barkman of Big Prairie, Sarah (Mose) Wengerd of Howard, Dan (Anna) Barkman of Lakeville, Ada (Melvin) Yoder of Danville, and Lizzie (Albert) Hershberger of Danville, 62 grandchildren, 83 great grandchildren, five sisters; Susie (Joe D.) Yoder of Baltic, Malinda Yoder of Howard, Edna (Joe H.) Miller of Millersburg, Sarah (Mose) Hershberger of Baltic, and Ada Raber of Lakeville, and a sister-in-law, Lizzie Ann Mast of Baltic.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, a sister, and a grandson.
A funeral will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015 at the Melvin Yoder residence on Tiger Valley Rd., with Bishop Reuben E. Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Mast Cemetery on Black Rd.
