Danville – Lloyd T. Martin, 81, passed away on Tuesday December 13, 2016 at Aultman Hospital in Canton.
He was born in Holmes County on January 18, 1935 to Henry and Ada Martin. On September 30, 1956, he married Dolly M. Sowards, who preceded him in death on November 19, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Geneva, and brothers; Wallace and Freddy.
Lloyd was a retired supervisor at Mansfield Plumbing and was also the former owner of “This and That” furniture store in Danville.
He is survived by six children; Debra Thompson of Florida, Tom (Jackie) Martin of Mt. Vernon, Debbie Ann Martin of Ashland, Louise (Torg) Scott of Loudonville, Lisa Martin of Danville, and Richard (Cindy) Martin of Danville, fifteen grandchildren, many great grandchildren, sisters; Patty and JoAnna, and brothers; Benny, Herbert, Terry, and Randy.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 16 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville, where calling hours will be from 1-3 and 5-7 on Thursday. Burial will be in Workman Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
