Danville - Loraine S. Bartz, 73, died Wednesday August 22, 2012 at her residence.
She was born in Blackey Virginia on April 14, 1939 to Willie and Hazel Stacy.
She was preceded in death her parents, also her first husband, Curt Looney and second husband, Kenny Bartz, her son, Cliff Looney, a sister, Alta Looney, and brothers, Dallas Stacy, James Stacy, and Danny Stacy.
Surviving is her significant other, Byron Dearman, children, Dean (Brenda) Looney, Linda (Ted) Towner, Brenda Hammons, Melissa Vess, and Steve Looney, 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 6 sisters, and 2 brothers.
She was a loving mother, a wonderful grandmother, and she was the glue that kept the family together.
Visiting hours will be from 1-4 on Saturday August 25, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville.
