Mt. Vernon- Louise Elizabeth Poole, 75, of Yauger Rd., died Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 at the OSU Medical Center in Columbus.
She was born May 26, 1934 in Marseille, France to Mr. & Mrs. Victor Marchese. She married Jessie Poole, Sr. on Oct. 12, 1953, whom preceded her in death on July 2, 2007. She was a supervisor for the Motorola Corporation, a member of St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville, and loved bingo, knitting, and jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by two sons; Jessie (Becky) Poole, Jr. of Atoka, TN, and Eddie Poole of Winnemucca, NV, a daughter, Beth (John) Higgins of Danville, 9 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and numerous brothers and sisters residing in France.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers and sisters in France, and one great-grandchild.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20, 2009 at the St. Luke Catholic Church in Danville with Rev. F. Richard Snoke officiating. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 23rd at the Chapman Cemetery in Munford, TN. Calling hours will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19th at the St. Luke Catholic Church, with a prayer service at 7:45 p.m. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements.
