Coshocton- Mary Joanne Balo, 75, of Zero St., died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010 at Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.
She was born July 23, 1935 in Coshocton to Wilbur and Lelia (Maston) Shaw. She married Donald Balo on Nov. 8, 1953, who survives. She was an artist of oil painting, and loved going bowling, playing cards, wood carving, and was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Don Balo of Coshocton, two sons; Terry (Kathy) Balo of Conesville, Donald (Ginger) Balo Jr. of Conesville, two grandchildren; D.J. Balo of Conesville, and Erika Balo of Columbia, SC, four step-grandchildren; Elena Belt of Conesville, Deena Willis of Fort Polk, LA, Bryen Johnson of Warsaw, and Jeremiah Johnson of Conesville.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. Joy Blaney officiating. Cremation will follow the service, and burial will take place at a later date at the Coshocton Co. Memory Gardens. Calling hours are from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
