HOWARD- Marguerite “Maggie” Kaylor, 88, passed away on Sunday October 11, 2015 at the Ten Lakes Center Trinity Hospital in Dennison.
Maggie was born January 5, 1927 to Eugene and Virginia (Hill) Ridgeway. She married Harry Kaylor on February 28, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 6, 2005. She retired from Danville Schools as a head cook, a job she enjoyed for 18 years.
You could usually find her and Harry playing Euchre many evenings. In her earlier years, she also enjoyed water skiing, performing many tricks. For 59 years she enjoyed the lakes of Pleasant Hill and Apple Valley. Maggie loved her Lord, her family, and her friends.
She is survived by her son, John (Mary) Kaylor a brother, Donald Ridgeway, a sister, Beverly (Bill) Stachler, a sister-in-law, Sandy Ridgeway, a brother-in-law, Tom Colopy, and 14 nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Bob Ridgeway, a sister, Peggy Colopy, a still born sister, Betty Lou Ridgeway, and sisters-in-law; Sarah and Shirlene Ridgeway.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday October 14 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. The Rev. Robert Alexander will officiate. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 Wednesday morning until service time.
