Warsaw- Margaret Cecilia Hartsock, 86, of Township Road 346, a beloved mother, grandmother, & great grandmother, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, December 14, 2009. She departed this world with her loving family at her side following a long, courageous battle against Parkinson's Disease. Her devotion to her family and friends will long be remembered. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Margaret was a homemaker, housewife, helped run the family farm, and served as Jefferson Township Clerk for over 30 years. She was a member of the Warsaw United Methodist Church where she served on many committees and she was a long time 4-H advisor.
She was born May 30, 1923 in Muskingum Co. to the late Martin S. and Lezetta (Sarabaugh) Lauvray. She married Howard McCoy Hartsock, Jr. on Jan. 24, 1945, who preceded her in death on June 16, 1994.
She is survived by two sons; John Hartsock of Warsaw, and Larry (Jane) Hartsock of Coshocton, six daughters; Judith Long of Lancaster, Sandy (Allen) Bickel of Warsaw, Arlene Roberts of Warsaw, Janet (Mike) Miller of Fresno, Margie Hartsock of Coshocton, and Patti (Tony) Bible of Warsaw. A sister, Celesta Hamilton of Fresno, and a sister-in-law, Marjorie (Kermit) Lower of Coshocton. Grandchildren, Lori (Aaron) Vance, Lance (Kristin) Long, Jennifer (Gerald) Minton, Michelle (Greg) Lauvray, Brenda (Dave) Stone, David Bickel, Mike (Jenn) Roberts, Shannon (Christine) Roberts, Monica Miller, Joshua (Nicole) Miller, Andrea (Ryan) McVay, Angela (Nick) Hartsock-Anderson, Ashley Hartsock, Dustin Hartsock, Jacob (Angie) Hartsock, Jessalyn Hartsock, Joanna (Johnnie) Moreland, Rebecca Hartsock, Anthony Bible, and Austin Bible. Twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by two son-in-laws, a grandson, a great grandson, five brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Warsaw United Methodist Church with Rev. Ron Little and Mr. Robert Chase officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery near Warsaw. Visitation is Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw and one hour prior to the service at the church.
