Margaret E. Heffken

       ZANESVILLE- Margaret Elizabeth Heffken, 92, died Saturday, November 7, 2026 at her home in Zanesville.

       She was born May 11, 1934 in Williamson, WV to Andrew and Agnes (Cominski) Lasko. She married William Edward "Bill" Heffken on April 3, 1954. He preceded her in death Oct. 17, 2014. 

       Margaret loved life, being independent, and was happiest spending time with family and friends.

       She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (James)Walters of Zanesville; granddaughters Rebecca (Navin) Ajodhya of Mt. Vernon, and Melissa (Bill) Lewis of Westerville (great-granddaughter Mia Lewis); her son, Don (Barbara) Heffken of Owens Cross Roads, AL; and grandson David (Lacie) Heffken of Owens Cross Roads, AL (great-grandchildren William “Liam" Heffken and Isla Heffken).

       In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, David Edward Heffken; and six siblings.

       Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2026 at Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw, with Chaplain Tim Patton officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery, Warsaw. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. FischerFuneralHome.com
