Coshocton- Marilyn Holdsworth Kempf, 69, of Clow Lane, died Tuesday, January 19, 2010 at the Coshocton County Memorial Hospital.
She was born Nov. 6, 1940 in Coshocton Co. to the late Nolan D. and Edyth M. (Hammond) Holdsworth. She was a 1958 graduate of West Lafayette High School, a 1963 graduate of Kent State University, and was a retired elementary school teacher. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, as well as a volunteer for the Keene Elementary School Reading Program. She loved helping children and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by two sons; Sean D. (Kristine) Kempf of Coshocton, and Scott F. (Debbie) Kempf of Keene, a daughter, Kristine R. (Rowdy) Freeland of Coshocton, three grandchildren; Joshua D. Kempf, Owen J. Kempf, and Kirsten R. Kempf, three step-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, a brother, Robert N. Holdsworth, Sr. of West Senaca, NY, a sister, Alice E. Hagelbarger of Mt. Vernon, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Michael Holdsworth.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2010 at Coshocton County Memory Gardens with Pastor Cal Searles officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 75 Maiden Lane, New York, NY 10038. The Fischer Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
