NEWARK- Marjorie Edna (Dennis) Nyhart Richert, 92, of Carolina Dr., passed away Thursday Feb. 28, 2013 at Autumn Healthcare of Newark.

She was born Feb. 10, 1921 in Danville to the late Walter E. and Ruth L. (Eley) Dennis. She was a 1939 graduate of Danville High School. She married Russell L. Nyhart on June 18, 1939, who preceded her in death in 1980. She married her second husband, Gail Richert, on Oct. 26, 1996, who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 2002.

She is survived by four children; Ellen Jane (Larry) Strouse of Westerville, Henry D. (Phyllis) Nyhart of Mt. Vernon, Mary Jean (Mike) Hammond of Newark, and Russetta Lee (John) Mitchell of Aurora, CO, twelve grandchildren; Jeffrey B. (Angela) Strouse of Tampa, FL, Jennifer C. (Kevin) Tomes of Westerville, Bridgett A. (Mike) Shearer of Fairlawn, Bernadette M. (Scott) Redman of Mansfield, Patrick R. (Andrea) Nyhart of Mt. Vernon, Christina M. (Aaron) Cook of Delaware, Rebecca J. (J.R.) Goeppinger of Mt. Vernon, Kimberly A. Hammond of Newark, Laura J. (Luke) Sanford of Newark, Amanda E. (Brandon) Mixon of Denver, CO, Maj. Olivia S. (Liam) Elliott of Elgin AFB, FL, and Venessa R. (Fil) Nenna of Houston, TX, eighteen great-grandchildren, two sisters; Mabel Mizer of Mt. Vernon, and Dolly Stumbaugh of Apple Creek, two brothers; Robert (Norina) Dennis of Rochelle, IL, and William (Triesa) Dennis of Howard, four step-children; Clair (JoAnne) Richert, Mary (John) Loyd, Lowell (Shirli) Richert, and Wilma Richert, all of Danville, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Dennis, and a step-son, Carroll Richert.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday March 8, 2013 at the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 18975 Chapel Rd., Danville, OH 43014, with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Larry Houck will officiate. Visitation is one hour prior to service time. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
