COSHOCTON- Martha Jane (Endsley) Murphy, 86, of Grant Ave., died Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011 at the Genesis Good Samaritan Hospital in Zanesville.

She was born Feb. 22, 1925 in New Castle to the late Wilbur and Evelyn (Snyder) Endsley. She married Harold Edwin Murphy in July 1944, who preceded her in death on July 13, 2005. She attended the Coshocton Baptist Church, and loved volunteering at the New Life Ministries food pantry, the Coshocton Senior Center, and Roscoe Village. She also loved playing cards with her many friends at the Senior Center.

She is survived by her son, Ed (Margie) Murphy of Canfield, three grandchildren; Shelley (Charles) Phipps of Canfield, Scott (Lisa) Murphy of Port Clinton, and Brady (Nancy) Murphy of Salem, five great-grandchildren; McKenzie & Marissa, Brittany & Taylor, and Katelynn, a great-granddaughter, Isabella, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Holt, and two brothers; Russell & Ronald Endsley.

To honor Martha's wishes, her remains are to be cremated and there are no services scheduled. The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
