COSHOCTON- Martha Lovel (Thomas) Peterson, 96, a resident of the Autumn Extended Care Facility, died Saturday Jan. 19, 2013.
She was born Sept. 15, 1916 in Vintondale, PA to the late Daniel Arthur and Mary Ann (Davies) Thomas. She married Charles W. Peterson, Jr. on Oct. 30, 1937, who preceded her in death on Dec. 4, 2001. She worked at DuPont's Soda Shop during WWII, made and sold jewelry, and was a housekeeper and foster parent for many years. She was a very loving mother who loved caring for children, and children loved her deeply. She was a good Christian, enjoying her Bible reading and faith in the Lord.
She is survived by her son, Dan (Doreen) Paterson of Warsaw, and four grandchildren; Joshua, Matthew, Adam, and Emily.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Ethan.
