GAHANNA- Mary Louise (Mickley) Boeshart, 90, died Monday, September 8, 2014 at National Church Residences in Gahanna.
She was born to the late Ed and Hilda (Gardner) Mickley in Danville on December 30, 1923. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward (Eddie) Lewis Boeshart on Feb. 11, 1986, whom she married on Sept. 1, 1945, a sister, Joyce Summers, and brothers; John, Eddie, Joe, Bob, Jessie and Paul.
She is survived by a son, Edward H. Boeshart of Danville, two daughters; Bonnie (Hugh) Roberts and Sally (Robert) Truex, both of Columbus. Mary had eight grandchildren; Crystal & Sarah Boeshart, Jessie (Gregory) Arblaster, Elisha (Dave) Roberts Cofer, Alexandra Roberts and Rob (Penny), Russ (Angel) and Rich Truex. She also had ten great-grandchildren; Kelsey, Taylor, Natalie, Ava, Olivia, Christopher, Dalton, Landon, Jace and Peter.
Her surviving brothers and sisters are Donald (Lynn) Mickley of Florida, Kenneth (Naomi) Mickley and Irene (Mickley) Zell of Mt. Vernon, Dorothy (Mickley) Colopy and Floyd Mickley of Danville. Also, Mary was very proud and blessed to be the God Mother of at least 27 God Children, and was a close friend to many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her dear friend, Ann Fesler.
One of thirteen children, Mary was a strong and vibrant person in the Danville community. Leading girl scouts, heading women’s groups, aiding in church work at St. Luke’s, playing Euchre and Scrabble were some of her favorite things. She was a kind, gentle and loving person. She loved God, and her family and fun times with hubby and friends.
The family is asking that her God Children be her pall bearers and gather in the rear of the church prior to the ceremony to escort the casket. Also, in recent months, Mary had gotten very fond of gold finches as she watched them from Bonnie’s family room. Her kids are suggesting that yellow be worn to the funeral to honor that little happiness she found.
