Mary Jo Kohl

Danville – Mary Jo Elizabeth Kohl, a loving wife, mother, and lifelong farmer, passed away at home on February 3, 2026 at the age of 79.

Mary Jo was born in Williamsport, PA on October 19, 1946. She was the daughter of William “Bill” T. and Joan A. (Rezeski) Pennella. On April 30, 1988, she was married to Peter Kohl. She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her daughter, Anita Lynn Walton; her sister, Jean Werner of Dillsburg, PA; and her brother, Angelo Pennella of Harrisburg, PA.

Surviving is her husband, Peter; daughter, Tina Marie Wagner of Loudonville; grandchildren, Daniel Walton, Amanda Schantle, and Jimmy and Christopher Wagner; 5 great grandchildren; and her sister, Christine Fry of Montoursville, PA.

Mary Jo was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, with Rev. Howard Clevenger officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
