HOWARD- Mattie P. (Yoder) Swartzentruber, 88, of New Castle Rd., died Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at her residence.
She was born May 25, 1927 in Beach City to the late Peter D. and Annie J. (Hershberger) Yoder. She married Peter A. Swartzentruber on March 20, 1952, who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1956. She was a member of the Old Order Amish.
She is survived by four children; Abe P.M. (Lydia) Hershberger of Canton, MN, Joe P. (Cevilla E.) Swartzentruber of Mabel, MN, Anna P. (Aphie) Hostetler of Aaronsburg, PA, and Andy P. (Saloma E.) Swartzentruber of Howard, thirty grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two brothers; David Yoder and Eli Yoder, and two sisters; Katie Zook and Fannie Swartzentruber.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by eight siblings.
Funeral services will be held at the Swartzentruber residence, 26640 New Castle Rd. Howard, OH 43028, on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hershberger Cemetery.
