COSHOCTON- Maxine Delores Foster, 83, of CR 23, died Thursday, March 20, 2014 at the Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette.
She was born Dec. 24, 1930 in Baltic to the late Valentine and Caroline (Ott) Baab. She was a long-time member of the Prairie Chapel United Methodist Church, and was part of the former Ladies Aide. She enjoyed quilting, was a wonderful baker, and was known for her homemade noodles and apple butter spice at the church. She was also a faithful donor of blood, having given over 25 gallons through the American Red Cross.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Wayne Foster of Coshocton, whom she married Oct. 31, 1953, three daughters; Davonne (Randy) Stingel of Coshocton, Diane (Bob) Laughlin of Warsaw, and Darlene (Bryon) Pittenger of Carlisle, PA, a son, Dave (Michelle) Foster of Coshocton, eight grandchildren; Josh Stingel, Alissa (Michael) Lyons, Ryan (Megan West) Stingel, Shawn Laughlin, Nathan & Samuel Pittenger, and Michael & Dylan Foster, two great-grandchildren; Lance & Alaina Lyons, a sister-in-law, Mary Baab of Newcomerstown, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers; Roland, Wayne, Doren, and Larry Baab, and a sister, Pauline Keen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 24, 2014 at the Prairie Chapel U.M.C., with Rev. Dail Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours are from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
