Danville - Michael L. Martin, 55, died Wednesday October 19, 2011 at his residence.
He was born in Knox County on June 1, 1956 to William and Ellen (Lesley) Martin. On June 16, 1977, he was married to Anita Hauger. He was employed by PACS Industries with 33 years of service.
Michael was an avid guitar player, and enjoyed his music more than anything other than his family. He loved playing with his band "Schitz and Giggles". He also enjoyed nature, spending most of his time on the Mohican River or the beach.
He is survived by his wife; Anita of Danville, his children; Josh (Stacy) Martin of Gahanna, Alicia (Josh) Byers of Danville, and Joseph Martin of Wilmington, NC, his grandchildren; William Martin, and Joshua and Jacob Byers, his father; Bill of Brinkhaven, a sister; Wanda Lore of Macon, GA, a brother; Larry Martin of Danville, and his mother-in-law; Janice Hauger of Danville.
He was preceded in death by his mother and his father-in-law; Glen Hauger.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday October 23, 2011 at the Danville United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mary Murtha will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is handling arrangements. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
