DANVILLE- Carl Michael Slaughter, 59, of Chestnut Ridge Rd, died Friday, February 20, 2015 at his niece Janae Bro’s residence in Westerville following a stroke.
He was born Oct. 25, 1955 in Columbus to the late Carl Slaughter and Opal Crosky Williams. He graduated from USF in Tampa FL with a BA in business. He was a retired airline inventory controller. He spent six years as a high school basketball coach assistant and enjoyed all kinds of music, football, basketball and reading. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan. He is survived by three sons; Matthew J. Slaughter, Zachary A. Slaughter, and Victor R. Slaughter, two sisters; Terri Bro, and Elana (Mark) Cothern, a brother, Steve Slaughter, and seven nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Danville. Burial will follow in Workman Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
