Mildred I. Endsley

December 12, 1919 — July 19, 2009

Walhonding- Mildred Irene Endsley, 89, formerly of Walhonding, died Sunday July 19, 2009 at the Ohio Eastern Star Home, where she was a resident.

She was born Dec. 12, 1919 in Akron to the late George A. and Mary (Rasheck) Snader. She married Robert C. Endsley on Aug. 11, 1938, whom preceded her in death on July 6, 1989. She worked at Goodyear Blimp in Akron during WWII, and was later the operator of Mid's Fudge & Concessions for many years. She was a member of the Walhonding Church of Christ, the Greater Ohio Showmen's Association, the Independent Showmen's Association of Tampa, FL, and was well known and acclaimed for her poetry and writing.

She is survived by a daughter, Gayle (Monty) Tarrh of Walhonding, two sons; Sidney Endsley of Galion, and Tony (Cheryl) Endsley of North Jackson, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by a son, Robert Lee Endsley, a grandson, Charles Wesley Endsley, and a sister, Rebecca Rahn.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rick Lumbatis officiating. Interment will follow in New Castle Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to service time.
