Miriam Ruth Esselburn-Henry

WEST LAFAYETTE – Miriam Ruth (Conrad) Esselburn-Henry, 86, a resident of Lafayette Pointe Nursing & Rehab Center and formerly of Warsaw, died Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at the care center.

She was born Nov. 8, 1929 in Newark to the late Crawford Gaven and Marcella Mae (Drushell) Conrad.

She was a member of the Coshocton Nazarene Church. Miriam had a Degree in Music from the Cleveland Bible College. She was a commissioned song evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene and traveled with her family in evangelistic ministries. She served as choir director, Sunday school superintendant, board member, and with the quizzing team in her church. She went on Mission trips and also served at the Sharon Center Holiness Campground in Wadsworth.

She is survived by her husband, John Henry, whom she married June 10, 2001. Three daughters, Doreen Ritchie of Granbury, TX, Donna (David) Buchanan of Arlington, TX, and Diana (Jim) Cook of Chattanooga, TN. Two sons, David Esselburn and fiancé Christy Vickers of Warsaw, and Douglas (Rachel) Esselburn of Athens. 17 grandchildren & 9 great grandchildren. A step daughter, Marcella Ann “Mickey” (Art) Burris of Coshocton. Two step sons, Mark (Jean) Henry of Lexington, KY and Timothy Henry of Aurora, CO. A sister, Mary Ann (James) Gill of Coshocton. Two brothers, Russell Conrad of Warsaw and Roy (Joanne) Conrad of Coshocton and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, A.C. “Bud” Esselburn, whom she married Nov. 27, 1954, he died Feb. 23, 1991. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Wilfred Gene "Bill" Ritchie, a brother, Ronald Conrad and a step son John Michael Henry.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene 1058 Orange St. Coshocton, OH with Pastors Steve Ward and Don Lain officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Sunset Hills Memory Gardens in Canton. Visitation is Friday, June 17, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
