NEWARK- Mona Mae Horner, 84, of Shelbourne Place, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 23, 1926 in Millersburg to the late Earl and Bertha (Steele) Conner. She married Robert L. Horner on April 19, 1947, who preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 2009. She was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ in Newark, where she sang in the choir, and was also a member of the Afternoon Circle and Sewing Circle. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and puzzles.
She is survived by a son, Allen (Pat) Horner of Palm Beach Gardens, FL, a daughter, Jacquelyn Schrader of Chillicothe, four grandchildren; Bethany (Ralph) Keeler of Orlando, FL, Amanda Horner of North Palm Beach, FL, Marie (Kevin) Shim of Lake in the Hills, IL, and Jeffrey (Dana) Schrader of Alexandria, VA, three great-grandchildren; Tyler & Cassandra Shim, and Paige Keeler, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Robert Schrader.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011 at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw with Pastor Mark Katrick officiating. Visitation is one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date in Valley View Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
