Naomi Slabaugh

       GAMBIER- Naomi J. (Hershberger) Slabaugh, 82, of 22809 Deal Rd., died Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026 at her residence.

       She was born Dec. 13, 1943 in Wayne Co. to the late Joe E. and Malinda (Yoder) Hershberger. She married Jacob E. Slabaugh on Oct. 12, 1965, who preceded her in death May 5, 2012. She had made her home in Gambier for the past 35 years, and was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

       Surviving are ten children; Malinda (Eli Jr.) Hershberger of Long Prairie, MN, Emanuel J. (Delila) Slabaugh of Plains, MT, Anna (Menno) Hershberger of Walhonding, Joseph J. (Margeret) Slabaugh of St. Louisville, Mary (Enos) Swartzentruber of Long Prairie, MN, Eli J. (Leah) Slabaugh of North Carolina, Rebecca (Andy) Hershberger of Howard, Chris J. (Elisha) Slabaugh of Gambier, Sammie (Annie) Slabaugh of Alexandria, and Jacob Jr. (Mary) Slabaugh of Gambier; eighty-four grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; three brothers, Enos Hershberger of Mt. Hope, Eli Hershberger of Middlebourne, and Mose Hershberger of Michigan; three sisters, Rebecca J. Hershberger of Mt. Hope, Lydiann Miller of Polk, and Cevilla Hershberger of Harmony, MN.

       In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Menno, Sammie, Daniel, and David Hershberger; two daughters, Lydiann, and a stillborn daughter; and two grandsons.

       Funeral services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026 at the residence, 22809 Deal Rd. Gambier, OH 43022, with Bishop Peter H. Hershberger officiating.
