WEST LAFAYETTE - Ned Beal Wright, 93, a resident of the Lafayette Pointe Care Center died October 10. 2010 at the care center.
He was born October 10, 1917 in Bedford Township, Coshocton County to the late William Forest "Frosty" and Ruby (Beal) Wright.
He was a local timber buyer and sawmill operator - the owner of Ned Wright Lumber in Nellie from 1958-1975. He was a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #255 of Warsaw and the VFW #2040 of Coshocton. Ned loved to tramp through the woods, hunt and fish, go out to dinner, and visit with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn (Bates) Wright, who he married Nov. 30, 1946. Also surviving are two daughters, Patricia (Gary) Fridley of Northbrook, IL and Mary (Herman) Lacy of Dresden and a son, Eric Kenneth Wright of Dublin. Two granddaughters, Sarah Gault Bagley (Ryan) of Vernon Hills, IL and Megan Beth Gault Wright (Justin) of Bowie, MD and a grandson, J. Michael Wilson, of Chicago, IL.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Rebecca Wright Richcreek and her husband James.
Graveside memorial services will be held, Monday, Oct. 18, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Valley View Cemetery at Warsaw. Graveside military services will be conducted by the Coshocton County Joint Veterans Council.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army 219 N. 4th St. Coshocton, OH 43812. 100% of the donations will be used in Coshocton County. For those who cannot make a donation, please take a child hiking, fishing, or hunting and remember Ned as an individual who loved the great outdoors.
The Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling the arrangements.
