Nellie Dusenberry

MT. VERNON- Nellie Dusenberry, age 98, passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at The Eastern Star Home after a brief illness.
She was born in Coshocton County, daughter of Henry Edgar and Sylvia Dusenberry. Nellie graduated from Warsaw High School and attended The Coshocton Business College. She worked at The Strategic Air Command of Wright Patterson Air Force Base at Dayton during World War ll. At the conclusion of the war she remained in Dayton as office manager/bookkeeper for a medical practice until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Methodist Church, Canton.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Dusenberry, a sister, Hazel Burns, and an infant nephew, John Andrew Dusenberry. She is survived by brothers, Harold M. Dusenberry of Dayton, John E. (Marilyn) Dusenberry of Coshocton County, and a sister, Mary D. Hall of Mount Vernon. Survivors also include six nieces; Roxie Dusenberry and Ann Bork of Dayton, Sharon (Carl) Field of Gastonia, NC, Cynthia (Steven) Millard of East Rochester, Deborah (William) Kiser of Canton, and Rebecca A. Hall of Chicago, IL, and four nephews; include Larry (Esther) Dusenberry and Rex (Carol) Dusenberry of Coshocton County, Sidney (Darlene) Burns of Canton, and F. Steven (Janice) Hall of Mount Vernon.
Nellie leaves many great and great-great nieces and nephews. She also leaves many friends who are residents of the Eastern Star Home, as well as the staff who cared for her so lovingly and who became family to her.
Friends may call at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw from 10 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Cemetery. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
