BRINKHAVEN - Norma Mae Craven, 88, of Brinkhaven, died March 14, 2013 at the Sycamore Run Care Center in Millersburg.
She was born May 17, 1924 in Knox County to the late Elmus E. "Pete" and Elma (Smith) Taylor.
Norma lived in her home in Brinkhaven since 1943. She worked at Shellmar during WW II, was a truck driver for 13 years, drove school bus for Danville Schools for 14 years, served on Brinkhaven Village Council for many years, and served as Village Clerk for 12 years.
She is survived by her children, Lisa (Grant) Lyons of Danville and Rick (Barb) Craven of Brinkhaven. Special friend, Richard Craven of Brinkhaven. Granchildren, Lacy (Jason) Craven-Norris and Ericka Craven. Great grandchildren, Alec Johnson, Elixia Olson, and Madison & Wesley Norris. A half brother, Al (Shirley) Rine of Mount Vernon and a special step grandson, Joshua Aurand.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, John, grandson, Cody Johnson, and two half brothers, Carroll and Lawrence Rine.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the FISCHER FUNERAL HOME in Danville with Pastors Clarence Lawson Jr. and Mike Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Millwood Cemetery. Visitation is Monday, March 18, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. www.fischerfuneralhome.com
