Norma J. Kohman

       COSHOCTON- Norma J. (Gobel) Kohman, 74, of Coshocton passed away peacefully August 17, 2026 surrounded by family at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville.

       Norma was born Feb. 19, 1952 in Clarksburg, WV to the late Paul and Marselene (McCloy) Gobel. She was a beautiful soul, who was kind and giving to everyone she met. If she knew you, she loved you. She was very loved by everyone. Many years ago, she was a school bus driver, and that was a job she loved. She also sold peanuts at the fair for many years alongside her beloved late fiancé, Donald West.

       She always found the good in people, no matter who they are. Her sense of humor and stubbornness even in dark times will be missed. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and sister. She will be missed infinitely, and her memory will live on forever.

       She is survived by her son, Walter (Nicki) Kohman, Jr. of Coshocton; her daughter, Marcie Lanning (fiancé Craig Casey) of Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Chloe Kohman and Ricky Bradshaw; sisters, Judy Moran and Barb Stitler, both of Coshocton; her brother, Rick Gobel; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog, Lexi.

       In addition to her parents and fiancé, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Devon Bercot; a son, Paul Kohman; her former son-in-law, David Lanning; siblings, Kate McCoy and Nadine Jennings; a niece, Shelly Nethers; and a nephew, Tommy Jennings.

       There will be a memorial service held at a later date, as her wishes were no funeral or calling hours. Private burial will take place at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton. Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw is handling arrangements. FischerFuneralHome.com
